Independent Airstream owners rallies are becoming increasingly common. Freed from the burdens of bureaucratic red tape and exorbitant annual dues, Airstream owners that simply want to have fun are organizing their own events and opening them up to ALL Airstream owners.
No different than our upcoming Pocono Raceway Rally, AirPocono (AirPocono.wordpress.com), AirSchuyler.com is another unique rally location.
Unlike the high speed entertainment associated with Pocono Raceway, AirSchuyler is a 3 or 4 day weekend waterfront marvel. With both the SUNY Maritime library and museum located within, this 1800’s all granite fort is a marvel to look at and explore. Sharing the same rally space is a massive New York waterway, Long Island Sound. We’ve experienced local yacht club racing right off of our shores and the peaceful nighttime NYC area waterway.
The company has always been great, the nightly campfires a real celebration of the outdoors. If you’re coming from some distance away, SUNY Maritime, Fort Schuyler makes a great base for daytime or nighttime trips into Manhattan, City Island, the Bronx Zoo, etc…
